Summer 2004. I moved cities and my dad bought it as a way to cheer me up. GTA: San Andreas and True Crime were my first games.
Even though the latter is a complete rip-off of the first, I enjoyed True Crime more. Vice City would be my favourite GTA game tbh.

My mum got it when it first came out but I didn’t start playing it by myself till 2004 or 05
it was the original big boi, we had the PS1 before we got the PS2, I don’t remember the exact first games we got but I know we had a lot considering we had this specific bag of PlayStation one and two games, grand theft auto San Andreas and vice city were one of the earlier games I remembered, that and racing games like burnout.
also a few educational ones and classic arcade games on it.

Christmas 2003. I can't remember how or when exactly I became aware of the PS2, but I know that I had been wanting one for months. The Playstation had been the only console I owned at that time, so to me, the PS2 seemed like the best thing ever. Almost 17 years later, my PS2 still works perfectly, however it has been a dust collector for many years now.

The first non-Nintendo console I bought was the Xbox 360, in 200 5. Even then, other than that and Xbox One, I've been nearly pure Nintendo since I started playing videogames.
