It sucks but I think it’s good that he extended it. The economy can be fixed, more people dying cannot.

Problem is he isn't "extending" it nearly as long as he should. Even his own in-house expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has said it should be much longer than that.

A vaccine is at least a year out. Ideally, we would be waiting until that vaccine is not only developed, but can be widely administered.

It's safe to say that the 2019-20 school year for American students is pretty much over.

I would say he should extend it to at least July 31st, maybe even October 31st. Halloween is something you don't really want to do with a group of people when there's a pandemic going on.

At least they'll probably still have Christmas... maybe. Actually since the economy is tanking and the unemployment rate is skyrocketing I don't know.

The social distancing laws should be extended for another six months, at least, and even that is being optimistic. New cases will continue to be reported in the United States during the summer months. Our first cases of community transmission here in Australia were reported on the 2nd March, the second day of Autumn. The weather has little to no influence on the transmission of the virus. Things are going to get worse before they get better.

I'm sure they wouldn't like spending the night in the hospital on a ventilator either.

LMAO. Children wouldn't like that at all. I'm sure they wouldn't like spending the night in the hospital on a ventilator either. Yeah, but I feel like most of the countries would've peaked with the rate of new cases by then, so life would slowly return back to normal. It's an aspiration at least.

I feel like most people are going to become stir-crazy by June or July and we'll see more people ignoring regulations and social distancing
