Born in late 80s before I catch any flack, I didn't really like them, except New Jack Swing. We were in this transition period.
I much prefer the mid and late 90s. Even if the mid 90s had a sarcastic slacker attitude problem. If its 90s and happens after mid 93
cool, but before it I am not as big of a fan. Obviously there are shows that carry over like beavis and butthead and Seinfeld ,but for me
the early 90s just seemed try hard. I can appreciate the era for what it was but yeah no.

I'd still rather live in the early 90s than in 2020. I agree. I think the only time in the last century that can be compared to 2020 is 1929-33 or 1940-45. 2020 vs 1929-33 is pretty much a tossup. Only 1940-45 was a worse time to live through.

In Canada the '90s are an infamously awful time. But I think when people insult the '90s, they mean the early '90s. There was a big recession, a Prime Minister everyone hated and the country was almost torn apart twice, once when trying to ratify the constitution in 1993 and then in the 1995 Québec independence referendum which was only lost by 49.5% of the vote. By the end of '97 most that had faded into memory, so I only know about the happy '90s. But that's only 2 out of 10 years

This was the part of the 90s I have 0 memory of. I like the “vaporwave” aesthetic of the time and some of the Nickelodeon shows that started then that were still running in the mid 90s. I have more opinions of the mid/late 90s because I actually remember them.

This was the part of the 90s I have 0 memory of. I like the “vaporwave” aesthetic of the time and some of the Nickelodeon shows that started then that were still running in the mid 90s. I have more opinions of the mid/late 90s because I actually remember them. in my opinion you didn't miss much, I will say the transition to Poppy cheese try hard to Grungy/Sarcastic/Depressed was very gradual, wasn't until late 92 and 93 that we were out of the woods. The only thing I really like from that era is Sonic 1 and 2 and a few movies and songs. I feel like once Clinton won the whole energy shifted.
