I dislike Eminem. He reminds me of Mac Miller. I never understood how he was seen as saving hip hop or being one of the top ten rappers of all time considering almost any album from the golden age of hip hop is 10x better than his best stuff.

Wow I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I also never understood why people thought Eminem was among the top 10 rappers of all time. They’re really overhyping him up at that point. People go as far as calling Eminem a quintessential 1990s rapper (What a disgrace to 1990s rap, for people to even claim such a lie smh.) or how he kickstarted or influenced the 2000s rap sound (I call bullshit.). I disagree with both of those claims. Yes any golden age hip hop album destroys Eminem’s crap. I would much rather listen to golden age hip hop over his garbage. Eminem’s overrated. He’s not all that cracked out to be. I’m glad Eminem flopped recently when he tried making a comeback. He strikes me as a poser or wannabe. He’s kind of largely representative pop culturally of mid 2000-mid 2001 era. He was everywhere nonstop. Kids were emulating him and worshipping him. He was very cringe.

Rock magazines were considering him edgy, because of his antics and collab with marilyn manson, but I found him to be totally unoriginal. Tbh I think his first album from 1996 which was a flop was better than his 2000-2001 material, his 1997 slim shady ep was miles ahead as well. I hated how everyone ate up anything back then if it was played on mtv long enough.

Found it, so many people had this in their bedroom oh god lol By Encore in 2004 it was clear Eminem was just shock value and was just a hype machine. His puffed up image was exposed, sadly it took 4 albums for the GP to see that lol

The khaki pants and puffy jacket would pass in 98.. especially that old school car. Those puffy sports shoes don’t look right with the pants. How did we go from crazy high standards in the 90s and early Y2k era to this ? Lol
