I remember if you were into Pokémon, bubblegum pop, had a Nintendo Gamecube, listened to electronic music and so on, you would be picked on and sometimes labeled as 'gay'.. That also applied to the early 2010s tho. Replace Pokémon with My Little Poney, Gamecube with Wii and bubblegum pop with Lady Gaga. Made worse with the addition of cyber bullying. Unfortunately nasty behavior like that never really goes away.

I certainly remember the early 2000s.
To answer the thread question: Neither appeals to me. I was too old to care so it all went over my head.

Unfortunately nasty behavior like that never really goes away. Sorta but, definitely not to the same extent. The only thing I can agree with is the Bronies. Lady Gaga was still actually relevant in the early 2010s (all the way until 2014), Bubblegum Pop on the other hand was so unpopular in the early 2000s (with the exception of 2000), especially in the US. The Wii really depends, a lot of people actually owned a Wii in the early 2010s (due to its high sales in the late 2000s). It does not compare to owning a Nintendo Gamecube in the early 2000s, it was a brand new system and no one 12+ wanted to touch that thing. No one spoke out about owning a Gamecube, it was a babies console. Early 2000s gaming was all about owning the common Playstation 2 or owning the edgy mature Xbox. Now, cyber bullying is definitely something I agree with, it was already very common in the early 2010s (due to social media). It did exist in the early 2000s but, it was no where near as prevalent. It wasn't until about 2005ish when cyber bullying really started to take off.
