No, we’re most definitely in the cultural 2020’s at this point. Before the pandemic I used to think it would start in 2021, but this situation has changed literally everything.

Why would this be the peak of the late 2010s?? Not only are they historically over, but this covid pandemic situation would have been completely absurd of a thought in the ears of people in 2017-19. Even earlier this year no one would have foreseen the way things have escalated since.
This is such a strange question to ask.

This feels like we are living in a dystopian science fiction horror movie. Just six months ago, nobody would have thought it possible for things to get this bad so quickly.

This isn't a topic that warrants decadeological debate. The mass quarantine began in 2020, so it's an early 2020s thing.
