I love 2007! I started Kindergarten when these pictures were taken. The core 2000s were still going strong!

These photos look old. I remember 2007 pretty well because it was the year I moved to the United states and started kindergarten.

I don't get it. How can you look at these and think that the core 2000s were over by then?

"Big Girls Don't Cry", lol, I can remember listening to it on my Mum's iPod Classic at the time and thinking that it was a good song. How wrong I was. I also liked "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston, because I quite often got the chorus to it stuck in my head. It's definitely a year that I have a lot of memories of and am hugely nostalgic for. Being an 8 year old kid in 2007 was great!

The 2007-2008 school year were arguably core 2000s.

The 2007-2008 school year were arguably core 2000s. I'm not sure about the 2008 part but late 2007 I feel was the last of the core 2000's, like how August-September 2016 was the last of the mid-2010's.

Agreed with all of you! Late 2007 was very core 2000's & is commonly lumped with 2009 & 2010 when those years couldn't be any more different!

I think it was just purely late 2000s from that point. R&B and rap was getting the electro sound.

Also, I don't even think the Great Recession officially started until December 2007, so it wasn't even until the very end of 2007 when the Great Recession actually started. September 2007 was still core 2000's, just in its last breath. Just like how September 2016 was still mid-2010's, but in its last breath.
