"Trollz" reaching #1 is genuinely contributing to my depression this year. More and more 2020 just makes me feel like nothing at all matters. Yup. 2020 will officially go down as the worst year in history. His trollz song really needs to be dislike botted

As a defender of believing that there's still some good mainstream music out there, 6ix9ine and Nicki hitting the #1 spot really disappoints me and kinda angers me too. I guess some of my Gen Z peers are just fine with a rainbow-colored, egotistical pedo gaining the top spot. I really don't get it. I still like 2020's music, but this is a huge downer. Ikr, like why do people think that raping a 13 year old and snitching on your gang is ok??? Mumbling into your mic and thinking its catchy is just sad, 2020 will therefore go as the worst year in music history as well.

Once again, I've lost all hope for good music. Mainstream music will remain stagnant forever and there's nothing that will get people's minds off mumble rap or the generic trap beat in general.

This song makes me wish the music industry should ban trap beats for a long time.

By the way I've very confused why they even let a latino guy saying the n-word but ok.
Not sure why people are calling the death of music on this hype single that went to number 1 completely artificially (see my post from a few days ago where I saw exactly what was going on), when "fefe", an even worse 6ix9ine-Minaj collab, reached as far as #3 on the Billboard completely organically that time in 2018.
And like I said this won't even be in the top 20 next week.

Who is actually listening to this garbage? I hated him in 2018 and I still do now. I also just heard "goomba" for the first time and really regret it, absolutely awful.

Whelp, seems like all hope for good music is lost. But it is what it is, the good old days for good hip hop from Biggie and Tupac are gone sadly, and we have to accept the fucking present full of asshole mumble rappers as we can't always live in the past forever.
It doesn't mean we don't have good rappers though, there's Kendrick, J. Cole, Tyler the creator, Megan Thee, etc. But to see these mumble rappers gain more recognition is really embarrassing.

Speaking of Megan Thee Stallion, her music is a good examples of being one of the only good songs in Hip hop, Savage really got the recognition it deserved, yes it is Trap but its so catchy and I think she'd be ready for Post-trap music tbh, its a shame she didn't last too long on top

I like Roddy Ricch as well. He is like in the middle lane between mumble rap and lyrical rap. I also find the Dababy song Rockstar catchy.

This song got to #1 based on artificial tactics. It doesn't feel like a genuine #1 and Billboard needs to get rid of bundles altogether.

What an absolute child he is. Can you image that a supposedly 24 year old wrote this. And oh yeah, he announced another song this coming friday. The torture is never ending...

He really needs to go back to jail, the music industry needs to ban music like this! Or at very least, he can just do scream rock because scream rap doesn't mesh well, not to be nice to him but he can at least do that without pissing us off
