Wow he already reduced the single's prize and released an alternate version... I've never seen someone this desperate to have a Billboard #1.
At least Lil Nas X was clever and subtle with its exploits to pad out "Old Town Road"'s succes.
Edit: Also what makes me extremely mad is the continuous support for this type of trash instead of the many protest songs from actual black artists coming out lately.

We need something more innovative now, Trap has been the dominant sound for several years now, its time to stop. Its annoying and his songs aren't even catchy.

The 6ix9ine song is currently at #35 on the Spotify charts, not doing great if you ask me. I am probably sure a good percentage of the Youtube views in his new song are bots.

Yeay, officially a Billboard #1 as expected thanks to heavy manipulative methods with digital sales, despite him being super bratty against Ariana Grande and accusing her of hijacking sales a few weeks ago. Ironic huh
With no radio airplay and abysmal streaming numbers, the song is now guaranteed to do a spectacular collapse in chart positions starting next week, so at least that's that.

This song hit #1 just because of bundles and high Youtube numbers which I don't think a lot of them are real. This will tank really hard next week.

As a defender of believing that there's still some good mainstream music out there, 6ix9ine and Nicki hitting the #1 spot really disappoints me and kinda angers me too. I guess some of my Gen Z peers are just fine with a rainbow-colored, egotistical pedo gaining the top spot. I really don't get it. I still like 2020's music, but this is a huge downer.
