For those who weren't aware, "future bass" is the name of an EDM genre that is a mix of slow dubstep and trap, with heavy focus on drops, apreggios and strange voice effects. It exploded in popularity in 2016 and firmly took hold of the pop charts until at least last year. Here are a few of examples:

I thought Let Me Love You is a Dancehall-inspired EDM track that sounds very similar to Lean On in 2015. For the rest, it's a fine sub-genre of EDM, it was short-lived and got replaced by Future House as the popular sound of EDM.

I thought Let Me Love You is a Dancehall-inspired EDM track that sounds very similar to Lean On in 2015. Main beat is indeed dancehall-inspired, but the drop doesn't really have anything to do with dancehall.
