I feel like the biggest difference between fashion in '06 and now is that '06 outfits tended to have more vibrant colors, despite being incredibly casual. The scene and emo kids were a minority. Despite all of this, 2006 very much feels like the olden days to me now. In a number of ways, it has a classic feel to it, as much as some of the American culture felt like a horrible downgrade compared to the late '90s and early 2000s.

Very classic, I know someone had mentioned this in another thread, but it has a classic base feeling where everything is as it should be. The casual clothing of the mid 2000s were offset by its offerings being loud and colorful despite being controlled and casual.

I think this was around the time I got Wi-fi, to go with Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing. Just a few months before this Wikipedia hit 1 million articles. I remember staying up late to see the counter hit that number.

I don't believe the mid 2000s will ever get "Old" It'd just get a (officially dated) slapped on to it. I hope the 2000s become like its own thing/sub culture or some ish.

Matter of time before mid 2000s get that treatment.

I'd like to see a mid- to late '00s revival of some kind. I seem to remember people were getting nostalgic for the 2000s toward the end of the '10s.

It was when I got exposed to online videos for the first time. It was Yahoo Video I think, because I did not know what Google was until later that year, since my first web browser was the SBC Yahoo Browser.

I mean many people would not waste money to have dialup at home. Talk about paying a lot of money per minute along with how difficult it would have been to set up in addition to not being able to make phone calls as back then people still used landlines to make local lines, and still many people did not have a cell phone. Even then, many people would have gone to the library or an internet cafe to use the internet if they could not afford broadband.
