In hindsight, I think Lady Gaga jumped the shark with ARTPOP (though I liked that album much better than Joanne). Her music is iconic for the early Obama era, when Millennials were in their teens and early twenties. She has been far less successful at moving beyond that than I expected back in the day.

Pretty nice as well, gives off some Y2K vibes

I'm not sure why everyone here is underwhelmed by this song. I mean eventime a pop punk, pop , alt pop or indie is trending people form opinions like this is generic or its just a revival and not for todays music. I'm just curious what would be the Early 2020s music, I certainly don't want rap to be popular but just something different for music

I actually do like the pop punk MGK track tho.

I like it. It's a nice house-inspired pop tune. Gaga's known for taking risks with her music, and I can see why people felt disappointed with her current sound. I'm not a huge fan of it or Gaga myself, but I don't personally mind this one.

Gee, that chorus is pretty pedestrian by Lady Gaga's standards, but the song isn't terrible overall. Ariana Grande featuring in the song just comes across as a desperate attempt to try and stay relevant. I prefer "Stupid Love" out of the two.

Her entire persona revolved around pushing boundaries and shock value and that can only be done for so long. Her shocking outfits became "meh" after a while and Top 40 began evolving in a direction away from the types of songs that made her popular. The new song is growing on me a lot though.

I’ve just never really been a fan of Lady Gaga at all, even when she was big. So sue me.

Two iconic queens release quality music while the world is in the middle of a pandemic. Love to see it.

I mean, it's not a bad song tbh. Definitely better than "Stupid Love" and especially "Gooba".
