I'm not into her music but she definitely did something original in her earlier work that 2000s pop needed at the time.

Ariana Grande featuring in the song just comes across as a desperate attempt to try and stay relevant. Well, if that's the case, what about the fact she's alleged to release a song with a BlackPink featuring that samples a mid-00s Nelly Furtado song ?

Lady Gaga did an interview in 2008 and said that Nelly's Loose album inspired The Fame (and album Timbaland produced ) and was out during the year of Timbaland domination. Edit- Sour Candy samples Man Eater of course makes sense now
