For those of you who don't know DBZ was on United States TV in 1996 before hitting Toonami later on. Did anyone else remember these ? Sailor Moon also came on right after it. IT had a HORRIBLE time slot usually relegated to 5am/6am
Even Dragon Ball was on the air in 1995 in US television believe it or not

Remember in the 1995-1996 period, or a bit after, people were talking about it in Canada, I remember it being aired around that time . Recall some Asian friends were into it for years before because of imported stuff they would get.
Sailor moon was huge in 1996 from I remember.

I think there was an over saturation of anime in the 2000s and 2010s. Too bad we never got this awesome arcade game:
