I'm pretty sure you guys know about the George Floyd situation, at least if you live in the US. If you don't, there was a black man named George Floyd who was held to the ground by the police and he couldn't breathe, and died soon after he was arrested. He was also clearly complying to the police, and now people are rioting and protesting against the death of George leading to insane destruction upon many US cities. It's crazy over here...
I've literally lost all hope honestly. I'm actually beginning to feel nostalgia for the mid-2010s at this point which is something I never thought I would say.

It's a shame that there are people out there who are too self-absorbed in their views to realise that the police themselves aren't the issue, it's the fact that racism is still so entrenched in American society. If racism wasn't the contributing factor, these riots would not be taking place and George Floyd would still be alive. Rest in peace.

It's a shame that there are people out there who are too self-absorbed in their views to realise that the police themselves aren't the issue, it's the fact that racism is still so entrenched in American society. If racism wasn't the contributing factor, these riots would not be taking place and George Floyd would still be alive. Rest in peace. I believe that the officers will not actually be charged no matter how much they want it to happen, unfortunately. I want to say that these riots will be a thing of the past by at least June 5th, however some of us thought that about the coronavirus and guess what happened. Plus it's 2020 so...

I disagree. Police are the problem: The vast majority of police officers are law-abiding people who are not racist and are simply doing their job. They put their own lives at risk everyday so that the community can be safer. Without the police, society would be a lawless, crippling mess. Don't let a minority taint your view of the police as a whole.
