To say it's just about racism is to miss the point, isn't it? I think this speaks to a total loss of confidence in his leadership, at least outside of a certain segment of society.

Even I think his base is eroding and unraveling as we know it. The ones that are probably still going to be behind Trump are the diehards. But damn, this election year is gonna be a unique one for the history books after all that's happened. Two old men with clear signs of either Alzheimer's or dementia are our nominees to be president. I just hope American democracy survives, because these are scary and uncertain times we're living in right now.
