Neck tie over a t-shirt. I used to do that. I guess it's still cool, in a hipster kind of way? The good thing is I have a decent selection of dress ties now as an adult.

Posted this in another thread, but this show seemed really cool at the time. Not so much nowadays... Related but this show is presented in a way that is very tacky with modern sensibilities, not to mention completely irrelevant with the advent of Instagram: Also other things include making your blog looking this: "Weather confused" fashion Trying to collect as many Gogos Crazy Bones as humanely possible Bedazzle everything you find to oblivion "Nudging" Thinking this show was the epitome of sharp commentary

Yuck, none of those things were ever cool to begin with. Not strictly a 2000s trend, but because emo/pop-punk popularised it, I used to think wearing your hat backwards or wearing a hoodie seemed cool when I was 8/9 years old. I've got quite a few pictures of me from 2007 wearing my hat back-to-front. Emo, it impacted us all.

These graphic designs: I don't know what they are called but I've seen them being used a lot in commercials and promos in the mid-late 2000s. I bet in the future, this type of design will be used a lot in 2000s nostalgia, similar to the neon grid style of the 80s.

All this is doing is reminding me how much I miss the 2000s.

Oh yeah, and "competing" clichés and subcultures were a big thing in the mid- to late '00s, stuff like pirates vs. ninjas or vampires vs. werewolves (or oftentimes vampires vs. zombies). And I remember that so distinctly because my girlfriend at the time was a full-on pirates fan and into the whole pirates vs. ninjas rivalry, and I didn't have the heart to tell her I was firmly on team ninja.

Anyone remember these? They were only a short-lived fad, but I thought they were amazing when I bought two of them back in 2008. I've still got them too, I should post a pic.
