Anyone remember how big it was back then with basketball being really popular, cards everywhere, popular sneakers and movies like space jam and others ?

What was your favorite basketball thing from this period ? yes lol who can forget Space Jam and Jordan 11's and 12's NBA JAM the video game as well, id say the peak of it was when Space Jam dropped in late 96, and then slowly started getting popular again once Kobe took the reigns along with Iverson from late 97 - 99

What was your favorite basketball thing from this period ? yes lol who can forget Space Jam and Jordan 11's and 12's NBA JAM the video game as well, id say the peak of it was when Space Jam dropped in late 96, and then slowly started getting popular again once Kobe took the reigns along with Iverson from late 97 - 99 I liked the way everyone was into basketball back then, you didn't have to a be sporty kind of person. Also the cards thing is something I wish the 2000s/2010s had in the sense of being massively popular, it was cool to constantly get excited about new trading cards and learn more about players and if they were worth a lot. But I guess we couldn't easily look stuff up back the so cards had more value in buying them in a way. Yeah there was NBA JAM arcade version was probably the best one. I remember everyone hating on space jam but its gold to any similar CGI stuff that came later on. There was something special about the NBA at this time. I think the lineup of talent is what made it really so massively popular compared to other sports.
