MTV's been culturally irrelevant for years (besides their shitty reality programming), so the TRL episode probably won't do well in the ratings.
But I am rather fascinated as to how they're doing this on the main channel. I am a sucker of seeing nostalgia for decades I haven't experienced, so I'll check MTV out from time to time today.

I can say as an advid watcher of TRL in the past it had 2 peaks Fall 2000 - Fall 2002 and then popped off again Fall 2004 - Summer 2006 (started picking up again when emo came out) Show was pretty much dead in 2007 and was almost canceled and lasted until 2008 and got the axe (at that time MTV was taking it on and off the timeslots) As for the 2017 reboot............. it was YIKEs

I mean it's 2020, so everything is disappointing and crap in this year... MTV the king of false advertising I am watching the show now, Nice clips but not stuff that can't be found on youtube. Watching this is going to make people realize how much the current day main MTV channel sucks and how good it used to be.
