I can't think of too many other examples besides the ones that have already been mentioned. History does tend to repeat itself though, and I wouldn't be surprised if this decade does pan out to be similar to the 1930s, like @bchris02 mentioned. Actually, it's scary thinking about it like that, because the Chinese Communist Party's quest for world dominance and its suppression of the freedoms of Tibetans and Hong Kongese, is somewhat similar to the Nazi's rise in power during the '30s...and we all know what happened from then on.

I think the 2020s are going to mirror the 1930s. Too soon to tell to be honest. I do see economies recovering majorly after this crisis with professional activity retaking shape, and then crash again later due to inflating debts and banks not keeping up (sometimes around 2027-2028 is a good bet, which would mirror the 1929 crash relevant to this thread).
