Should the US pay reparations?
If so, how should it be done? How much should they get?
Should this be an issue for the 2020 election?

No. Not only is it just unrealistic, but it’s just going to worsen race relations. This debate would make sense if it was right after slavery but I don’t believe it will work in this day and age. No one alive in the U.S today was ever a slave and nor has any person today owned one. Who’s going to quality for reparations? Do half black people count? A rich black person is the last person who needs reparations.
It’s true that black neighborhoods, are on average, poorer. And the education isn’t very good. I think the first step is to start improving predominantly black schools and colleges. And on another note, going to college shouldn’t be so expensive.

No. Like what are the reparations even gonna be? Who's gonna be giving and who's gonna be receiving? Im guessing the slaves or slave owners? But they dont exist in 2020 (except maybe in Africa). Sounds like a silly idea imo. Agree with rainbow, if u want to fix any kind of existing inequality, you should focus on increasing education and social services funding in lower-socioeconomic areas rather than handing stuff out to random people.

Too much time has passed for it to even be worthwhile. If the victims of slavery were still alive today, then I would agree with the idea of paying reparations to the individuals and their families, however it would be a complete waste of resources to compensate families for incidents that happened 150+ years ago. It just isn't worth it. If you're feeling that compassionate for people who are doing it tough, make a difference by improving welfare and achieving universal equality.

The US Should not have to reparations. Joe Biden is being pressured to consider it. Though at this point, it seems like it would be the click bait of election promises.

There should be a better way of helping the black community instead of just forcing to give money to random people. Donations to their public education and social programs are more efficient and right way than reparations.
