It just doesn't sound of its time. Frozen not as much. Where is Korn's freak on a leash?

Making a list out of what your favourite songs are from 1998. "Freak on a Leash" is apart of my 1999 list.

I've mostly based my lists on when songs were on the charts.

I've mostly based my lists on when songs were on the charts. I thought that it came out in November 1998. But that wouldn't have made sense, considering the matrix influence in the music video. They could have picked a better single. I can't tell if all in the family was the first single or got the life. I think they removed the all in the family music video online, I can't seem to find it.

1998 is very underrated IMO. Alternative is going very strong still, while pop and electronica are having their moment that year.
1. Jennifer Paige - "Crush" 2. Madonna - "Frozen" 3. Sixpence None the Richer - "Kiss Me" 4. Sheryl Crow - "My Favorite Mistake" 5. Semisonic - "Closing Time"
6. Brandy & Monica - "The Boy Is Mine" 7. Fastball - "The Way" 8. Massive Attack - "Teardrop" 9. Madonna - "The Power of Good-Bye" 10. Pras Michel ft. Ol' Dirty Bastard & Mýa - "Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)"
11. The Goo Goo Dolls - "Slide" 12. New Radicals - "You Get What You Give" 13. Smash Mouth - "Walkin' on the Sun" 14. Third Eye Blind - "Jumper" 15. Lauren Hill - "Doo Wop (That Thing)"
16. Jay-Z - "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" 17. Matchbox Twenty - "Real World" 18. Stardust - "Music Sounds Better With You" 19. Everlast - "What It's Like" 20. Alanis Morissette - "Thank U"
(limiting it to mainstream hits to make it interesting).

I didn’t realise so many of the songs on my playlist were from 1998. The year is based upon chart position in Australia. 1. “The Way” - Fastball 2. “The Day You Come” - Powderfinger 3. “Iris” - Goo Goo Dolls 4. “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)” - Green Day 5. “Closing Time” - Semisonic 6. Flagpole Sitta - Harvey Danger (peak chart position in Australia was #50 in ‘98!) 7. “All Torn Down” - The Living End 8. Sex and Candy” - Marcy Playground 9. “Slide” - Goo Goo Dolls 10. “High” - Lighthouse Family 11. “Lucky Man” - The Verve 12. “Walking On The Sun” - Smash Mouth (was not expecting to include a Smash Mouth song!) 13. “The Drugs Don’t Work” - The Verve 14. “Kiss Me” - Sixpence None The Richer 15. “Brimful Of Asha” - Cornershop 16. “Father of Mine” - Everclear 17. “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)” - The Offspring 18. “Second Solution“ - The Living End 19. “Polyester Girl” - Regurgitator 20. “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” - Aerosmith (getting desperate now!)

I wish I could go back in time and magically make all songs in 1998 closer to the mid 90s

I thought you would have had "The Boy is Mine" at #1, tbh, I wasn't expecting "Crush" to be in the number one spot anyway. It's still a great choice of song though, I like quite a lot of the songs on your list! 6. Flagpole Sitta - Harvey Danger (peak chart position in Australia was #50 in ‘98!) Maybe it was more of a radio hit over here? You never would have guessed that it only peaked at #50 with the amount of times Triple M plays the song!

Consider it done, i'll make one now.
