Vegemite is one of our most iconic foods, even people who know very little about Australia know what it is. As an Australian, I always thinks its amusing when people from overseas try Vegemite for the first time and nine times out of ten, they will say that it tastes horrible. So...have you ever caved in and tried Vegemite? Did you like it? Does anyone here eat Vegemite regularly?
I used to love Vegemite, one of my favourite things to eat for breakfast before school was a Vegemite muffin. I ate it almost every day for months and because I ate it so much, that's what actually turned me off it when I was 16.

In NZ Vegemite is common to have but we also have our own thing called Marmite aswell (its different from the British marmite). To be honest they can taste quite similar if you didn't really think about it but if you only had one or the other for a while and then switch you can definitely tell the difference and I gotta be honest I much prefer Marmite over Vegemite.
I dont actually think Vegemite tastes bad and if its the only option then I will have it, but if I can choose between the two I will always pick Marmite lol.

Have never tried it and have no intention of doing so. I tried Marmite once and that was more than enough. Bloody awful!
