So apparently, Coronavirus cases have been increasing in a lot of regions due to lack of self-isolations and lockdowns. One of the main culprits is city travel where the virus could be spread area to area. Its understandable why this is the case because people have been feeling bored and need to travel to boost happiness and environmental variation, but once school starts where travelling is significantly less frequent, should city-travel be banned for a while? What do you guys think?

No, but air travel should be banned until the vaccine comes.

No, but air travel should be banned until the vaccine comes. Wtf? Hell no. You may as well just ban air travel for years because there's no way a vaccine is coming that quick lol.

Oxford is working on a vaccine with a lot of potential, it's just that it will probably take some time until it gets out to the wider public.

It is not going to take years for the vaccine to come out. Just months. Around half a year to be more precise. Air travelling to other places right now will only increase the spread of the virus. Air travelling now is done to 20% of what it was before mid March. Back in April, 10%. We are now in a second wave already. Also, China has an approved vaccine already, so definitely we can get a vaccine in this coming winter.

Yes. Western Australia prohibited regional travel within the state back in April and it was proven to be very successful. If you allow people from coronavirus hotspot areas to travel to areas which have little to no cases, it comes with the risk of potentially crippling the local hospitals and resulting in the area needing to enforce tougher restrictions on its people.

That is basically why air travel should be banned until the vaccine arrives. Air travelling can easily spread the virus.
