This was a hit song in 1991 that reached #1 in the Hot 100. Their bigger hit a year before was It Must Have Been Love and it sounds very 80s. As for this song, I'm not so sure. Joyride doesn't lean strongly in either eras. It does have elements of both.

Yeah, I don't hear any '90s to this. It's pretty emblematic of the pre-alternative revolution era.

It sounds like a new wave song from the early 80s, so definitely more of a throwback single than anything 90s.
