I used to love places like this in the 2008-2019 era. When they come back someday, they won't look like this. I think a lot of theme bars/restaurants/coffee shops of the hipster era will become relics of their time.

There are a lot of them here in Michigan. Why did you say when they come back someday, they won't look like that?

I HOPE IT NEVER COMES BACK gets a shiver of the hipster era at its peak I doubt there will be very many remnants of the hipster era in 2030 or even 2025 for that matter. Covid and the economic collapse will mean most of those businesses are going to be gone in one big swoop. Any that still exist now probably won't survive 2021. I don't think anyone knows what will replace them when society comes back. I think future nightlife and the entertainment industry that emerges in the 2030s will be targeted towards today's babies and children.

If you have a lot of hipster bars near you, would I be right to guess you are located around Ann Arbor or maybe Ferndale area?

I think future nightlife and the entertainment industry that emerges in the 2030s will be targeted towards today's babies and children. bchris02, I think you have a point. A lot of the ads & commercials that were made this year are not being made using Hipster fonts like the ones during the 2010s were. One thing I have noticed is that the font used for the IOS logo (This font: ibb.co/hYWctVf ; I don't know the name of the font.) have been used in media & marketing this year. Also, I have noticed that the minimalist flat-look that was used in media & marketing last decade is no longer being used. I have been noticing that the glossy 3D look that was used during the 2000s is being used this year in media & marketing. It looks like those things that I have been seeing this year are going to be the norm for this new decade. Another thing I want to note is that the minimalist flat-look that was used last-decade is associated with Hipster culture. With that being said, you're right. (Sadly,) Hipster culture and everything associated with it is starting to no longer be trendy (It's so sad that thrift shops are no longer selling VHS tapes. 😭). I think what is accelerating that is that folks who lived in big cities last decade are starting to move to suburban areas. There is a shift going on right now. It's almost like how people were starting to move to big cities from suburban areas during the transitional era of 2009-2013. It's funny that this shift is going on right now in the midst of this pandemic & recession. The reason why I said that it's funny that this shift is going on during a pandemic & recession is because of the fact that you guys said last year that in order for a shift to happen, something huge has to happen (something like the 2008 recession).

^^^ I would say this makes the 2008 recession look like a small speed bump.
U.S. history between now and 2050 is going to be defined by recovery from the Trump disaster. We don't yet know what that is going to look like.
I don't think any semblance of "normal" life as we all knew it comes back until the 2030s and even then it will be different.
This is the crash and apocalypse that people our entire lives have been warning about.

If there was a coffee shop like this in my area, I would go there every day.
