2016 wasn't a good year in terms of my personal life, but it was easily one of the best years for music of the 2010s. I think it's even a better year for music than 2012. It was one of the best years for pop and hip-hop music. These are just some of the songs that I liked: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}
It wasn't just a good year for mainstream music in the US but also it was a good year for the arab music industry. When I visited bahrain in summer 2016 I heard this song everywhere on the radio Yeah, I remember when you showed me that song back in 2016 and I ended up liking it a lot lmao.

I agree that 2016 was a good year for hip hop. This song here reminds me of 1st semester freshman year when this was played at every party

It’s funny cause summer 2016 was an awful time in terms of my personal life, but the mainstream music at the time was amazing, especially the hip-hop.

I like 2016. I'm nostalgic for the music from that year. My favorite song is Gold by Kiiara. Summer 2016 was so much fun and better than 2020
