Kill bill is early 2000s, Mean girls is like at the very tail end of the early 2000s imo Maybe chronologically, because it was shot in late 2003, but it somehow manages to feel more mid '00s than many things from the time.

Late 03 early 04 was transitioning and so did have some bits of mid 00s but still early. Summer was nearly mid, Fall was mid. You can regard it however you want but I do remember you agreeing that fall was officially mid? Was just confused.. I can’t forget this one. Even though i don’t agree with the politics. I remember this being popular.

I snuck into that one with 7 people actually !!! in 2004 I printed out fake tickets and they never checked the bar code for an entire year ,that sex scene tho lmao

I'm mentioning White Chicks, one of the most perfect emphasis of movies with mid 2000s atmosphere. Are We There Yet and Big Momma's 2.

Might sound silly, but the first four Final Destination movies illustrate the evolution of the 2000s very well IMO.
The first one was released in 2000 has a very late 90s feel to it, especially with how more slow paced and atmospheric it is. The second released in 2003 feels very early 2000s, more fast-paced than the first, very silly but also with a very dated feel to it. The third released in 2006 literally screams mid-2000s, much more edgy than the others, even the ones coming after it. The fourth released in 2009 has a modern look to it as well as an overreliance on technology makes it obviously made in the late 2000s.

Telso you are absolutely right about the four final destinations series. The first movie had that very depressing vibe. The second was more of a creepy feel to it. The third movie was angry and in your face kind of vibe. FD3 almost reminds me of the movie Heathers to some extent. FD4 to me felt more like a parody/haha movie, it was almost like “hey someone died today, no big deal”.
