My favorite years of all time of the 2000s, this year had a DIFFERENT vibe then others, we start off 2002 with the Bizarre Dragonfly, a teen romp 40 days, and the the movie trailer that was aired at Nausea Cross roads starring Britney Spears. We end the starting point of 2002 for cinema with The Rock's Scorpion King & hit video games RESIDENT EVIL 1. This period has a special place in my heart because these are the movies I saw in 8th grade when I first started dating.
and now....... Time for the SUMMER BLOCKBUSTERS
Spider-Man, Men in Black 2, Star Wars 2 !!! Signs.......... DAMN THIS WAS LIT WHEN IT POPPED Austin POWERS 3 WHAT? XXX !!!! THIS SUMMER WAS HUGE
Oh... think you had enough.......NOPE because Fall 2002 has some BANGERSSSSS guys
Overall I honestly think this year is one of the greatest ever for cinema in my opinion.

2002 was a great year for cinema. My favorite movie of 2002 is Stuart Little 2. I enjoyed all the films that you mentioned. Hey John, can you do the 2000 and 2004 movies please?

On it 2002 honestly it just felt like a thrill ride, Obviously I am biased because 2002 is my favorite 2000s year but rightfully so. DragonFly as I have said is the worst and best movie I have ever seen. Even tho people Sh*t on Attack of The Clones It was still entertaining, Who can forget when Spider-man 1 first came out? ? I remember people jumping out of their seats and clapping during the credits. I remember seeing Cross roads and I felt like I was inside the movie, it liked hooked you. 8 Mile coming out at the end of the year was the perfect way to end the cinema year, A HUGE marketing blitz all in part because it was Eminem, I remember every DAMN seat in the house was sold out. I remember I had to call like 7 times every hour before they could confirm there was a seat. Who can forget BLUE CRUSH is the movie that started the 2000s surf trend, Way before OC and Laguna Beach jumped on it.

I feel like 2002 was better than 2000-2001 in many ways especially for movies and to some extent music. This also applies to 2003/early 04 some extent. There was something a bit dry, artificial or bubblegum about a few things in the pop culture of late 1999-2001 that 02 to early 04 improved on and have less of.

I must say, the early 2000s was a great time for movies. I wish I could remember this era vividly.
