I remember someone saying online that this song sounds 90s. Is it true that this song sounds stylistically 90s? I don't think so because it sounds right at home and would fit into his 2004 material

I want to say neither. The song wouldn't sound out of place in the late 90s nor early 00s. Matter of fact, I considered that a Y2K song. But it would definitely sound out of place in 1994 or 2008.

Yeah, this song would sound out of place in the mid 90s or late 00s. It is possible that it could come out in the mid 2000s, just listen to Say Goodbye by Chris Brown.
