I liked the slower pace while I still had control over my schedule. Now my employer is tracking us and controlling our remote work very closely, and I feel like I spend every waking moment working.
Fuckin’ capitalism, my dudes.

2020 is the worst fucking year of my life. I hate being stuck at home with a homophobic family doing virtual learning. I feel so fucking depressed from everything going on right now. I miss the early and mid 2010s when i was carefree and we didn't have a racist president...

Its been okay for me. For the most part this has been an introspective year for me. Like most people, I had lots of plans for this year. Instead, my only achievements have been finishing my 2 year degree and deciding on a major (and also doubling my savings with phat unemployment checks ). Whenever our next year of normalcy will be, I'll be sure to live it up while I can!

I honestly have to say that I was optimistic about this year last year, but what I got was nothing that I envisioned. Firstly, COVID came and has been decimating the earth ever since its discovery in China, stress at college because of virtual learning, family issues and just a whole bunch of other nonsense. I already know that next year won’t get any better but all I can really do is pray that something will be bound to happen within the next few years.

I happened to come across a topic similar to this on reddit and thought it would be worth creating one for our forum. For me personally, 2020 has been the worst year of my life by far. My labrador Sally was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and was put down months later, my Dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, I had a huge falling out with my Mum where I had to move out of home for over two weeks and our other dog has also been diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer. On top of all that, i'm still doing a job which I don't like and a Tafe course which I feel as though I am getting little out of, so things haven't been particularly rosy for me this year. I'm sorry 4 your loss. I really wish your dad & dog recovers. I hope ish between u & your mom gets settled. Things will get better.

2020 has been okay 4 me. My business took off thx 2 COVID & quarantine. I still work @ my college math center since Monday, August 27, 2018. I've been learning 2 cook 4 myself & make tea. I recently got a new car. I took yoga over the summer which helped me escape 2020 a bit. I got new games 4 my Switch on my 22nd birthday. 2019 was better 4 me personally. I grew up in 2020. 2020 has been a transitional year. I got accepted into the university I want 2 transfer into @ the start of 2021. 2020 has been a year of lasts, endings & completions 4 me. 2020 feels like the end of an era. 2021 will be the start of a new era 4 me.

On balance, it hasn't been too bad. Work has sucked, but I really have enjoyed more quality time with my daughter.

This year definitely had more downs than ups but there was/is still a lot to be thankful for. I still can't believe we're in December already though.

It was good. Not especially good, but I'm happy to be alive with a roof over my head.
I can't think of a major tragedy that afflicted me this year, and I got to spend a lot of time with family and friends. All the scientific progress that's been made this year has me in awe, and I also learnt so much.
Personally, this year has me content. I'm probably not going to miss it though. Inject all the vaccines into my veins, I'm ready to move on and see what the future has in store.

All of us who have lived to see the end of this year should count ourselves very fortunate, so for us it has been a good year.

All of us who have lived to see the end of this year should count ourselves very fortunate, so for us it has been a good year. That's a very good point. Out of the 1.5 million people who have died from COVID-19 worldwide, a significant percentage of them were otherwise healthy people who had no underlying medical concerns. It could have been any one of us.
