Next Friday(2000): More like the 90s or the 00s

The sequal to the movie Friday(1995) starring Ice Cube, Mike Epps, and John Witherspoon. While the first Friday had that 90s urban gritty vibe, Friday After Next(2002) got that early 00s dreamy vibe to it. So that leaves with Next Friday. If anyone that has seen the movie, did the film felt more like the 90s or the 00s in terms of atmosphere, cinematography, the lingo, production design, clothing, the music, typeface/font used for the movie,  I personally think this movie had a perfect mixure of the grittiness of the 90s, but with the glossy hint for the coming early 2000s.
