I don’t remember hipsters in the 2000s but apparently there were. How has hipster evolved over time? Did the hipsters of 2007 dress and act like the hipsters of 2012?

In New York and LA they were already pretty common in like 2006. I honestly can't tell too much of a difference between the hipsters of both eras. One difference though, is that beards were no where near as common on hipsters in the 2000s as they would be in the 2010s and 2000s hipsters still had a very mild emo influence too. Beards in general though, were not very trendy until late 2010 anyway.

Did the hipsters of 2007 dress and act like the hipsters of 2012? 2012 is stil part of late 2009 version which is a slightly more mainstream and uniform look with more of an emphasis on fuller and longer beards, irony, nostalgia, and social consciousness that would get more a commercial take and slightly different forms in 2013, where everyone was adopting hipster fashion and modern hipsters just got more beefed up and commercialized, you could say late 2012 was almost there but most of 2012 was still like late 2009-2011. The standard look in 2007 often a stubble/fuller stubble/short beard that was already catching on in 2005/2006 and not really just shared only by hipsters. The 2007 hipster is more like the cynical film critic, the eccentric person who shows of their DIY jewerly clothing or records on their blog, ex.emo kids who still wore skinny jeans and bowlcuts, but are attempting to grow facial hair, have recently voiced their opinions against global warming and veganism and brag about obscure music from Japan they are listening to their Ipods on their new blog, or the neo hippy types. What unites them in 2000s period is their adoption on the hipster fashion, related music and few of the traits, many of which changed or evolved in the 2010s. There are some overlaps but some differences. Hipster in 2007 still had a bit more scene, geek and others elements attached to it, even though it was becoming closer to 2009 modern form. You could say it was slightly less uniform and commercial than late 2009 onwards but not by much. You could also say most of the hipsters were in the 2000s were slightly more diverse, even though there were a lot of people were looking like the typical version of the stereotype and nothing more, following the new fashion and nothing more if you will, and as whole it seems some aspects were not as sophisticated and intellectual as the 2010s version.

Another one was overly dyed and barely combined random messy hair that looks dried out.Why did people back enjoy having ratty hair! Both guys and guys. Wtf were they thinking.
