What do you personally miss most about the '90s?
Is it the music, the shows and movies you grew up with, the fact that the world wasn't as politically divided as it is today? When you think back to the '90s, what makes you the most nostalgic?

I do miss when ps1 and n64 first came out of the gate. I miss more of the things from 1996 - 1999. I don't miss grunge, I hated it when it was in progress, I miss Batman in the 90s.

For sure. By far, the best thing about 1998 for me, not the great album releases or trends in pop culture.

- An awesome time politically, there was pretty much nothing to worry about and there was a lot of optimism. It had a really chill atmosphere that went for nearly 11 years straight (late 1989 - 2000ish).
- It was also quite an accepting time, especially compared to the 1980s. It also had a perfect balance between being conservative and liberal.
- The economy in the late 90s was pretty good but, the early 90s economy was pretty crappy.
- The technology was good for the most and a big step up compared to the 80s but, still a quite limited and definitely not as advanced as the 2000s/2010s. The 2000s were much better in this aspect.
- The video games were very good and a lot of fun but, still slightly limited and seen as a "nerd" thing for most of the decade. The "nerd" stigma of video games started to wear a bit starting with the PS1 and was in full swing by the PS2/Xbox era in late 2001.
- Even though the fashion looked very sloppy, it was very comfortable and between 1994 - 1999 anything really went and you wouldn't get judged much for wearing something.
- Even though the television was good for the most part and faaaar better compared to every decade prior, it still wasn't as good as television has been in the 21st century.
- The movies were awesome, they were a lot more original and it was strong for all genres (except for horror/thriller, that sucked until 1996). I feel like the movies had a much longer lasting impression.
- The mainstream music was average in my opinion and quite a step down compared to the 1960s - 1980s. On the otherhand, it was much much better compared to the mainstream music of the 2000s and even the 2010s.

It's like almost everything was perfect then. For me it's 89 to 99.
