2009 was a pretty average year for music overall. It was actually around early 2009 (shortly after I turned 10) that I first stopped liking most of the music that was on the charts, largely due to the fact that rock was so obviously on its last legs by then and the rock songs that were popular were bland and uninteresting. I actually didn't like most of these songs at the time. I can remember thinking that "According To You" sounded like a Disney Channel pop-rock song. Out of all of the songs listed below, the only songs I actually enjoyed back then were "My Life Would Suck Without You", "The Fixer", "Broken Leg" (that was my favourite song when I was 10) and "Love Story".
