For me, 2005. idk why but that year doesn’t stand out to me as much as the other years of the 2000s. I have more memories from 2004 and 2006.

Pretty much the culturally transitional years of the decade. 2000, first few months were identical to 1999/100% Y2K era, most of the year was still mostly the Y2K era but, with early 2000s culture thrown to the mix and the last couple months of 2000 was mostly early 2000s with a few Y2K influences left over. 2005 is weird, it was mid 2000s but, it seems that it tied up the early 2000s and the late 2000s together (sharing just as much in common with both eras). 2009 is weird, was mostly a 2000s year until fall and had 2010s culture thrown to the mix.

2007
Dark and Digital, many of the core 2000s there like TRL, Pop Punk, Juicy, Myspace , Blockbuster, emo while Facebook, Netflix, Scene, Blackberry, Iphone , early hipster was co existing
Also the year Britney went nuts, TMZ debuted on TV, Anna Nicole smith died and Toonami got a new mascot, SD TV's no longer sold either as HD was in full force (just some stations were not in HD yet)

F it. I voted 2005, but it was weird in a good way. Mariah Carey sums up 2005 to me.
