The thread is similar to 'Favourite TV ads from when you were a kid' but separately focused on just classic TV ads:
Remember how expensive computers were back in the 1990's and 2000's?!
*FAST 32MB GRAPHICS CARD!!! pffft! *MASSIVE 256MB MEMORY AND LOADS OF STORAGE! LOL, far too small and very slow for todays standards!

Old computer ads are the best, especially for the very low specifications and ridiculously high prices (by today's standards)!

Here is a commercial I have advertising the PS2 back in 2003: ^ I can actually remember seeing this air on TV

Funnily enough, I had that exact TV model until I upgraded to a 16:9 TV in 2011.

$199 for a PS1 Console with Bonus controller and 1MB(LOL) memory card seems like a pretty good deal back in 1998!

Considering that the PS2 had yet to be released, PS1 consoles were still reasonably expensive back in 1998. So to be able to purchase a PS1 console, with a bonus controller and 1MB memory card for $199 is actually really good!

Both of those shopping centres are now known as 'Warrawong Plaza' and 'Figtree Grove' a lot has changed inside the Warrawong Centre while some parts are still relatively the same with some minor differences (i.e 0:22 the food court still looks like that but without the plants and more food restaurants added)

Maybe sometime in the Late '90s/Early 2000s?

This is probably the greatest commercial for a game ever made.

Sony PlayStation 2 ad from 2002.
The PS2 I owned was a slim model which came out in Australia in 2004.

I remember when they were that expensive! You're lucky that you had the slimline version. Because I received my PS2 as a Christmas present back in Late 2003, I have the big, bulky version.
