Most people associate cable TV with the 1980s and the rise of MTV but few people know some people were watching cable over a decade before MTV? I wanted to post these ads on inthe00s but their software is so outdated anything I try to upload gives me some “too large” mumbo jumbo.🙄 anyway I’ll be updating when I find more.

I'm pretty sure cable TV has its origins as early as the late 40s but, it was obviously pretty unpopular. Even in 1968, only 6.4% of American homes actually had cable TV and that number had only increased to 7.5% by 1978.
