This year is all about Covid-19 Lockdowns and deep recession, along with George Floyd riots and political tensions, natural disasters like Wildfires in California and Australia in the beginning of the year. If anyone were to read the history book many years or decades later, 2020 will be highlighted as one of the worst years to ever happen, but there's still hope for the end of 2020 and maybe 2021, but that statement might not age well. This topic is mostly based on facts but also very opinion-based so take my words with a grain of salt.
Let's start off with Covid-19, the disease that defines 2020. Moderna and Pfizer are on Phase 3 trials and may have a slim chance on releasing the vaccine by November, though multiple companies like AstraZeneca have major side effects, so we won't likely see a vaccine until Spring 2021, but what do you guys think?
As for the political tensions, the war between Trump and Biden have been the most debated. Both aren't very good candidates and while Biden, in my opinion would be a better President, hes still nowhere near as good as Obama or Lincoln. However, polls online have showed that Biden is in the lead despite controversial actions.
For pop culture, music has been decent this year thanks to acts like Harry Styles, Lizzo, Megan The Stallion, Dua Lipa, and other frontrunners, while sad-pop is still extremely popular due to Billie Eilish and emo rappers, there's at least some upbeat music that helped I, and a few others cope with the pandemic. TV Shows are a mixed bag however, with lots of delays, one exception is Mandalorian which Season 2 is coming out and I'm excited to see it!
But yeah, I tried to share good news and I know its a long statement with 4 paragraphs but I wanted to spread some positivity, even though it may not age well. Its good to set goals, but we shouldn't expect things to happen soon, as it will only disappoint us like in 2019, we all thought 2020 was gonna be a good year, it was beyond disappointing. My info is not 100% accurate once again but I just wanted to know your opinions

2020 has been by far the worst year of my life and nothing else comes close. I'd give anything to go back to any past year of my life. I don't care when. Even send me back to ex-gay therapy. That's better than this.
My entire life has been destroyed and all of my hopes and dreams have been ruined. There's nothing left, period. The economy isn't coming back until Generation Alpha comes of age. The only hope today is that maybe in five years things will be a little better, but I don't think things will really turn a corner until the 2030s. Every century there's a "decade from hell" and I think for the 21st century, it's going to be the 2020s. In the 20th century it was the 1940s. In the 19th, it was the 1860s.

Life in general is unpredictable, and if the onset of COVID-19 has taught us anything, it's that we don't know what's around the corner. It may seem like there's no hope for the future, but how can you know that for certain? The situation that you personally find yourself in isn't forever. You're still only 35, you've got years and years left to try and change things. We're all here for you.

I think 2021, at least the first half, will be a continuation of 2020, as I believe both 2020 and 2021, as well as possibly 2017-2019 are transitional years from the 2010s to the 2020s culturally, and that the 2020s wont fully culturally begin until the pandemic ends, which will most likely happen by the end of next year.

In other words, will the end of 2020 be at least good?
