I would jump for joy. I just wonder if the whole world will be so relieved and celebrate, or if things will still be dreary. I know the economy will take a long time to recover and a lot of things won’t be back to normal right away.. but just the thought of being able to go to concerts and things again. I like to be optimistic and think the world will rejoice and be super happy, even if it lasts only a few weeks. I just want to see the headline “Vaccine Developed and FDA Approved” and for there to be good news for once. It would feel so amazing after this nightmare. I don’t know..just wishful thinking.

I wouldn’t take the first vaccine that comes out if I were you. It’s being rushed for purely political reasons, so I have no doubt the FDA is fast-tracking a vaccine that may not even necessarily work. Sadly this will only fan the flames of the anti-vax crowd, who in their vast, infinite wisdom will kneejerk and proclaim to the heavens like a chicken in heat that this is undeniable proof that vaccines cause AIDS or some similarly dumb shit.

The same. The world's already gone to shit. This. Unfortunately I think we're going to be waiting until 2030+ for any improvement. I have zero hope at all this side of 2025. My entire life there have been people talking about the big collapse and the fall of the USA. I believe this is it.

People will jump for joy, but it's also going to cause even more division. Western countries such as the US and Australia will be better off due to their governments having agreements in place to secure enough doses to supply the population, but it's going to cause so much social unrest in many of the third-world countries. It will become something of a rare commodity in places like Kenya or Afghanistan. The rich will most likely secure all of the doses.
