This site seems slightly more progressive to me and seems to have a younger audience. I don't know though.. that just might be my perception.

No. If anything, it’s more centrist.

No. If anything, it’s more centrist. You think so? I don't know, maybe they're about even.

As someone who has went on both websites for a good amount of time, I can tell you that inthe00s is definitely more left-leaning. There seems to be more diverse political opinions on this site. It’s still more left-leaning, but I’d say more center-left.

I noticed some users with very right wing opinions, that you wouldn’t typically see here. I had the sense that’s this site is generally left leaning.

That's the exact impression I get as well, inthe00s comes across as more right-leaning. Popedia is pretty diverse when it comes to peoples political ideologies, but for some reason, I would say it still gives off the impression of it being more progressive overall.

InThe00s has a couple of evangelical Christian posters who are very rigid in their conservatism, support of Trump, and support of a Christian state in the US. One of the posters has promoted conversion therapy and is one of the "God will destroy the US for legalizing same-sex marriage" types. I think the input from those posters makes a big difference in why inthe00s seems more right-leaning.

I think the input from those posters makes a big difference in why inthe00s seems more right-leaning. I feel they also more of baby boomer and core gen x crowd, kind of a small town, group oriented and older vibe, as opposed to a more cosmopolitan and individual minded one. It’s not good or bad bad thing just an observation. It seems like 5 or so years it took number of users to create their own place in the midst of that kind at atmosphere. I think prior to that there was some kind of greater generational animosity where a number of the mods and inner circle created a weird purinatical hierarchy clique and would randomly gang up, and viciously bully and ban just about any user they didn’t like over completely questionable reasons. They also would do this by also stretching out the term “decadeology” and abusing the term or making someone uncomfortable until they left, they would gang up together from what I’ve understood. I wasn’t there. I met a few people who explained to me who left the forums back in the 2000s who left for a totally unjustified reason, I think there was a back story but again there is something fucked up about that site was. The older archieved posts really reflect this. It’s not like that anymore but just hearing about from others and looking at really old posts is really revealing. I would agree that the site seems sometimes be neutral when it comes promoting almost far right wing, kinda bigoted or questionable topics which should be dealt with in rational way rather than ignored or glossed over. Again it still to some extent operates sometimes like if you are friends with the inner clique you get get away with saying messed up things or being obnoxious no matter what. Kind of narcissistic vibe going on...

I haven't been on inthe00s in a while but I remember last year it was filled with anti-trump comments. A lot of the users born after 1980 leaned more left while the older users tend to be more centrist. The reason I got off was because of how political it got.

that forum is pretty much a zombie site now Honestly it was always a kind of average to bad site until a number people on this site made it better in 14-2015 for a few years by changing how things work and with way more interesting posts. There is such a big difference since it’s not the same. I find straight up weird how people pretend the site it better than it is and the denial how many of the older regular members tend to lack manners or have a really obnoxious attitude.

Been saying this for the longest. At my time of joining, 2015-2016 InThe00s felt like the official go to as a new generation of users were joining with new nostalgia. Ever since then, we grew older and drifted. It might take another universal link to get InThe00s back to its peak. InThe00s gave off a neat vibe in 2015-2016.

Ever since the 2016 election it just gotten woke.
