I've found this a bit amusing, if not sad.
If you read through some of the oldest threads in the 2020s sub-board here on Popedia, you'll come across quite a number of posts which are based on predicting the year 2020 and what the rest of this decade will be like. Many of them have aged really poorly seeing as though they were made before the COVID-19 pandemic came to be, but there's also others that are strangely on point. For instance, I remember @bchris02 made the prediction since the middle of last year that we would enter a huge recession sometime during 2020, and as it turned out, he was proven to be correct with his prediction:

What are some other examples you have come across of posts that have aged really badly?

"I can definitely feel the anticipation building. Maybe not from others, perhaps. I'm just really looking forward to seeing what the coming decade has to offer. Maybe we'll finally move beyond superficial trends and aesthetics, and we'll see an effort towards forming a meaningful vision of a future.
On the flipside, I'm quite worried about the geopolitical implications of the rise of right-wing authoritarianism around the globe, as well as the climate emergency beginning in earnest in the coming decade (not that it wasn't already bad enough). So as much as I'm excited to see art and culture go in new directions in the new decade, I guess I am apprehensive about what actually living through the 2020s is going to be like. Not to mention I'm a parent now - as hard as it will be for me to take care of myself in a more difficult world (if the above comes to pass), I'm doubly worried about making sure my child is safe and happy."
