I never knew "Where's You Heat At?" had a sample in it either, tbh.
There's a hip-hop song that I can remember from when I was 7 that sampled "Your Woman" by White Town, but I've never been able to find it. Here's the original song:
The reason why it stood out for me at the time is because I thought the sample sounded like a tune from the army, like something soldiers would march to. When I discovered many years later that the tune was actually a sample from a British alt-rock song from 1997, it really took me by surprise!

Heard this all throughout my early childhood, it was only until 5 years ago did I know it was a cover of an early 70s hit
Same story with these two.
Year: 2000
Year: 1982

One of the best new jack swing songs fittingly sampled the bassline of one of the best funk songs of all time.
1989
1969
Didn't even do the link until a year ago.
