Now that we're in 2021, certain parts of the 2010s are officially older now than certain parts of the 90s were back then. How does this info make you feel? Indifferent or weirded out?

This honestly doesn't surprise me all that much tbh, because I can remember 2010 as if it were yesterday and 1999 didn't actually feel old to me even back then. It seems believable to me. A lot of things have obviously changed since 2010 in terms of pop culture and the world in general, but to me at least, the year doesn't actually seem "old" yet. That's pretty much how I perceived 1999 eleven years ago. I was only 11 back then, so it would have been silly of me to think that I (or the year in general) was 'old' so to speak when I wasn't even a teenager yet. In the grand scheme of things, an eleven year difference isn't significantly big.

The early 10s are starting to become old to me now. It doesn’t feel that long ago but it also doesn’t feel that recent either. However, the amount of things that have changed since 2010 is what makes it seem a little more distant

It isn't a big deal, nor is 2010 even old. It's still pretty recent and identically still as advanced as today.

I am not going to lie the early 2010s are starting to feel a little bit dated right now to me. Not very but it's getting to that point.

In terms of music, I imagine songs like "Smooth", "Livin' La Vida Loca", and "I Want It That Way" felt just as old as songs like "Dynamite", "TikTok", and "California Gurls" do today.

There is probably a bigger gap between 1999 and 2010 than 2010 to now.
Tbh though, it's not too surprising as 1999 didn't really feel that old in 2010.

2010 is the latest year that I think truly feels like another world now. A lot of things have changed since then.
