Like: the animation and the music scenes that went on (hip hop, grunge, post-grunge)
Dislike: not the 90s itself but the whole damn "90s kids" and how some assume they have the best decade ever and shit on anybody born in 1999 and after. It's become super annoying at this point of how common it is.

All these people who at least used to be obsessed with the 90s actually made me dislike the decade more, luckily this seemed to have died down recently so it's not quite as bad but a lot of people have ruined the decade smh . (let's just hope the same thing doesn't happen to the 2000s, except since we're all 00's kids we get to decide how that turns out)

Maybe the people who were guilty of doing it have since grown up.

It still seemed pretty big to me but I only notice it a lot still on YouTube comments (which is not the best place to go to anyway lol) maybe it did though, I sure hope it does die down. Though most likely a lot of 2000s kids will repeat the same thing lol

Not trying to sound ageist, but it is usually people born in 1995-1997 who do this, not 80's and very early 90's borns (actual 90's kids). There was a guy born in 1997 who went by the pseudonym "Bawxesz" back in 2013 he'd insult people born after 1998 (and he's only two years older than someone born in 1999). Then there was another person born in 1997 who did the exact same thing (her username is something similar to "misfits", and I forgot the numbers). She would ramble on and on about how she played outside and people born in 1999 having iPhones as young children (the comment was made about three years ago). To be honest, both of these people are idiots.

Forwarding to what I was saying, you have people born in 1997 (yet again, not all people born in 1997) who bash people born in 1999 for not remembering Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network's Silver Ages at all, but they claim that they have vivid memories of watching a kid's show in 1999-2000 like a complete hypocrite.

The music was fairly mediocre. Technology was kinda crappy (2000s was better, the 2010s just seem to be all about smartphones ). I agree with the early and mid 90's being a little boring and having crappy technology, but I absolutely love the late 90's. It seems like such an interesting time imo. I believe that that time (roughly late 97 to early 2003) struck the perfect balance in old and new technology. Like using vhs tapes while also having internet. Or how cell phones were still considered to be new "gadgets" and not yet mainstream/the norm.

Overall pop culture was the best then aswell imo.

I can't believe it was only 10 years ago when most people on the internet DESPISED the 2000's and would always act superior because of the time period that they grew up in. This video pretty much sums up YouTube between 2006 and 2013.

It used to happen in the Early 2010s as well. In fact, it only stopped a few years ago! I think the people who were responsible for it have since "grown up" and realised how childish their behaviour was.

I think the 90's kids got too old to continue glorifying it. The 90's was a good time to have a childhood, but I think being a 90's teen would have been more fun due to the music scene and some of the fashion.

What do you like/dislike about the '90s? Like: I love the grunge/alternative-rock which was popular at the time and many of my favourite bands/artists either formed or were popular during the decade. I also like the dark and moody vibe of many elements of the pop culture, as well as how individuality was encouraged. It was a great decade for kids shows as well, with shows such as Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy and the Magic School Bus , just to name a few. The Simpsons was also at it's best and I really like Beavis and Butthead. Dislike: Generally speaking, i'm not a fan of the hip-hop, house or Eurodance music from the decade, in all honesty. Also, the Early '90s generally don't appeal to me in the same way that the Mid '90s (and the Late '90s, to some extent) do. I loved Eurodance in it's heyday! It was exciting and fun music to listen to. Every time I went skating they'd play it and have the disco ball and all the colorful moving around to the music. The only alternative there is to going dancing at a club when you're too young! Of course I'm also a huge fan of the rock scene, I just didn't get into that until 1998. Alternative music kept it real more than some more current artists who just follow formulas in hopes of getting popular. There was more originality to it.
