Most likely. TikTok is the center of Gen Z pop culture (and in general) right now. Gen Z is just getting started with cultural influence. Gen Z culture creeped in around 2015 and took over Millennial culture around 2018 IMO. 2023/2024 will most likely be the "peak" of it. Oh, 2018 for sure, especially with the Tide Pod fiasco, emo and SoundCloud rap peak/decline, and March For Our Lives protests. I was trying to say that Z is gonna become even more prevalent with their cultural peak in the near future.

Is Gen Z really driving the culture right now? To me, it seems like it's a combination of angry boomers, disgruntled Gen Xers, and cynical Millennials drunk on nostalgia for the 1950s.

Politics and the economy is driven by old ass boomers (it's always ran by older gens anyway), but music/movies/gaming is def Gen Z.

Defining music styles of the Early 2020s IMO. In comparison the defining genres of the late 2010s were emo trap, mumble/SoundCloud rap, EDM and latin pop: Throwbacks (replaced EDM as the main dance pop genre):
