2019 will be to the 21st century what 1929 was to the 20th. The end of an entire era of history and the last "good" year before decades of horror.

2019 is the last time I went to a movie theatre and a mall. 2019 is the first and last time I went to a casino. 2019 is the last year of me having AT&T since 1989, the same bedroom furniture since April or May 2008, taking college general education and math classes, working on campus, taking light rail, going to work potlucks and parties. Something about going out in 2019 made it feel extra special for some reason like a “make the most out of it” or “cherish it while it lasts” feeling. I noticed that vibe more throughout October through December 2019, although I got signs of that around July and August 2019. 2019 felt eery and ominous while fun and innocent at the same time. I had a feeling something huge was going to happen in 2020. I even had a conversation about it with another student around October or November 2019 about that. I turned 21 in May 2019. Throughout early 2019, more so around March and April 2019, I had dreams of me dying before my 21st birthday. These observations are scary looking back at 2019. I made a thread in 2019 that something big was going to pop off in January 2020 with a 9/11 type of echo effect, you can find it in the archives. It was an astrology video.

I was at the beach (after the countdown) fireworks were going off and i just had this bad feeling that something bad was going to happen in 2020. I even talked about it with some people on discord. Ofc it was 100% a coincidence, but it's still freaky to remember.

The 2 first days of 2020 were the calm before the storm. in jan 3, that Iranian sargent was assassinated and 2020 just kept getting worse and worse.

2019 felt like the death of the core 2010s. Unfortunately some of those cultural remnants are still bleeding out.

I'm really considering this as one of my favorite years of the 2010s. I freaking loved the summer from that year.

Indeed it was. That's why I try to keep telling people there was a fake early 2020s era. The real early 2020s began in March of 2020 but the fake early '20s were the moments after the final finale of 2019 / the 2010s. You can pick a time in 2019 but I like to say this era was from January to March of 2020 for simplicity sake. You felt like it was a new decade in the air and something was different, but it still wasn't the real thing until March of 2020. All of the future generations will recall March 2020 being the kickstart of the 2020s decade. The moment of the first lockdown was the moment you realized you were in a new decade, truly in the 2020s. You can say the moment they announced the global pandemic and initiated a full lockdown was the first moment of the 2020s. It's very easy to spot since Covid literally changed everything and how everyone lives their day to day lives.

I miss 2019, one of the best years of my life and of the 2010s for me. I can't believe it's been 3 years. I miss the first half of 2020. Everything spiraled downwards for me around May of 2020.

I only miss January 2020 because it was still like 2019. I already got sick in February 2020, which lasted until that April.
