I think Lofi samples 1990s to early 2000s rap and R&B music. How would you describe it? Lol i saw someone describe it as "neo-muzak, elevator lounge music" once I think it's pretty accurate, when I think of lo-fi i think of 3 things: Jazz, Coffee, Zoomers. I think lo-fi occupies the blank space left by smooth-jazz.

Wouldn't be surprised if 10 years from now lo-fi becomes the standard for elevator music.

I still hear Lofi in boba tea shops, commercials, in R&B and some rap music.
