I haven't seen a more cursive-obsessed decade since the 50s LMAO Indeed! There are a lot of weird parallels between 10s design and 50s design, the return of cursive letters is one of them. "Lobster" was basically the 10's "comic sans", completely inescapable Edit: and a lot those fonts try to have that lumberjack/retro/50s design

These fonts: Honestly if there's any defining typography trend of the core 2010s, it's ultra-thin fonts. Even tech aesthetics had fonts like this.

I think some of it also comes from the other favorite decade the 2010s revived: the 80s, which itself had a lot of 50s revivalism.
