Inspired by @johntitor. Honestly the 2020-2021 school year eerily reminds me of 2000-2001 school year with 2020 mirroring 2000 and 2021 mirroring 2001. Late 1990s and Y2K culture was long in the tooth or on their way out during 2000-2001. Late 2010s culture is long in the tooth or on their way out during 2020-2021. Which school year do you think was slower? When did y2k culture die out 🤔

Which school year do you think was slower? still going to go with 2000-2001, it just had a very slow vibe, almost everything was on it's last legs then - Pokemania on it's last legs - Teen pop on it's last legs - SEGA on its last legs ( RIP Dreamcast) - Fox Kids on it's last legs ( 2001-2002 school year would be it's last) - WCW last legs ( died March 2001 when WWF bought them)

If you wanna get real the answer is July 2001

When did y2k culture die out 🤔 Y2K culture died by late 2001 when early 2000s culture took over. Y2K remnants totally vanished by late 2004 when mid 2000s culture began and core 2000s kicked in full force. Hmm, then I'd say 2000-2001 was way faster. Unless there's a HUGE cultural shift later this year (hopefully so)

It's a parallel like the exact same pace of change only 20 years later. It's even weirder it has the same vibes because of the nostalgia factor too. But they just completely skipped over Y2K aesthetic and went to the early 2000s which kinda sucks because Y2K aesthetics was awesome. Hopefully Y2K will be nostalgic in the future and they don't completely skip over it. I'm not talking about colourful computers but actual full-on spacey futuristic Y2K aesthetics like we saw back then.

A futuristic version of 2000 like a parallel of sorts.

Yeah like Summer 2001 was kind of methodical how it changed like chess piece by chess piece, that is kind of what Summer 2021 kind of is.

Umm wth? How does 2020 mirror 2000? Those years are not alike at all. Hahahahahahaha 2020 is 2000 if Y2K happened, except we are dealing with COVID. 2020 and 2000 are the last full years of the Trump and Clinton administrations. New Playstation consoles dropped late in those years. Except Y2K didn't happen. So in that case the years aren't similar? Are 2008 and 2016 also the same as 2020, seeing as those were the last years of the Bush and Obama administrations? I gotta be honest, I think you're argument is a little bit pointless.

I am saying that they are similar. 2008 and 2016 have similarities to 2020, but they are not the same heh heh heh heh heh heh heh. I gotta be honest, I think *your* argument is a little bit pointless. BRUH I AINT THE ONE OUT HERE DRAWING RANDOM ASS COMPARISONS
